Another portrait done for a challenge--I have a rough time capturing Carrie Fisher's face, but this was yet another attempt!

Thank you, and I'm glad it looks like Leia: Carrie Fisher's countenance is SO difficult for me to render properly--this is but one of many attempts which actually turned out fairly well! Thank you, too, for adding her to your favorites! :D

You're very kind! Carrie Fisher is VERY difficult for me to draw (...recognizably, anyway! ;)), so it's great to hear it looks like her! I'll always remember this moment in the film: the fiery Princess, eluding capture, armed and dangerous! Go, Leia! :w00t: Hee! Thanks so much for the visit and comment! :D

Your work is all amazing but this is one of my faves because you've captured Carrie Fisher's character perfectly. I'm not a huge Star Wars fan as in I've not seen all of them but the original is what I loved and this drawing is a perfect rendering of Princess Leia. In fact as I look at your drawing, my mind recalls the part in the movie where she is posed this way and with this expression. You did a beautiful job with the highlights and shadows and I love, love, love her hair too!!! Excellent work my friend! :clap::w00t::clap::w00t:

Thanks ever so! This is actually the first drawing I've done of Leia that resembles her at all (and I've attempted her many times)--I find her likeness extremely difficult to capture. I loved the lighting in this photo, the way it moved over her face and hood--I think that's what drew me to this for a reference. I'm so glad you like this, even if you're not a big SW fan--thanks so much for the kind words! :D
