This is yet another attempt to draw the beautiful Natalie Portman as Padme from Episode III; the fourth attempt, to be exact... I've found her face to be very elusive, and used a grid this time for the likeness. I think it's as close as I'm going to get! ;) This is one of the more tense moments for her character: just after Anakin has slaughtered everyone in the Jedi Temple, he returns to reassure her that "everything will soon be set right..."

About 35 hours (??); H, 2H, F, B, HB, 2B, 3B, 4B, 6B pencils on fine-tooth paper--plain paper Kleenex, some clean cotton rags and tortillons for blending.

George Lucas owns all things Star Wars.

You're very kind--I swoon, however, over how other fabulous artists on this site manage all those glossy waves and curls and soft fly-aways...I have difficulty with hair if it's anything but smooth!
